Borage oil is also one of the richest sources
of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). GLA is part of an essential fatty acid (EFAs).
It is said to be helpful in the treatment of many body disorders.
EFAs
come in two families called Omega-3 and Omega-6. GLA within the Omega 6 families
is an indispensable nutrient and is found in large quantities within Borage and
Evening Primrose Oil.
Other benefits of borage seed GLA include:
- Vasodilatation of blood vessels, which can reduce high blood pressure.
- Reduction of abnormal blood clotting which can reduce the risk of heart
attack and stroke
